Holland Rusk is a cinematographer based out of Los Angeles.
From an early age, the art of cinematography fascinated Holland. The impact and dimensionality of light. The complexity of the camera and the personality of the lens. The realization of emotional substance through visual storytelling. She was determined to pursue it and integrate it into her life.
During her undergraduate studies at Chapman University, Holland was fortunate to learn under the instruction of Jurg Walther, Johnny Jensen, ASC, Frederic Goodich, ASC, and Bill Dill, ASC. On a daily basis, she picked the brains of these passionate cinematographers and continues to apply their advice and techniques to a handful of her projects.
Meaningful creation is Holland's motivation. She delves deep into the realm of each project to find creative ways to interpret a story and elicit innate emotions. Holland has collaborated with equally passionate creators on music videos, commercials, short films, and feature films. She also works as a camera assistant and camera operator.
